for me.. in a marriage.. the couple must have the same religion because as what i observed here in the Philippines,couples ague of their beliefs and end up to annulment..

OMG, i agree! hundred percent...my parents dont have the same religion and it was an issue...esp that my mother was conservative Baptist..and father is a religious catholic...wow. It's rare for couples understand each other and respect each others religion....Im glad me and my husband both have the same religion....and it is a pleasure to be involved both in the ministry...and in fact, im pretty much supporting on Feeding Program for children in the church....so anybody there that likes to help support..you are welcome with big arms!

Wow, red what a surprise!!!!!!! My father was a catholic and a very devoted catholic. My mother, though she was also a catholic at that time but she grow up with relatives who are also a Bible Baptist and so when my mother wants us to go to a Baptist Church i can feel that my father is against it. So i agree that having the same religion is very much important

I think is easier to connect and grow a family if both sides have similar background in that things.I am catholic and grown as christian.I want for sure if i have kids that they will have baptism and know about how much good gave God to us giving his son to us.
So yes at least to me...I need at least to be christian.if she is catholic can be ok too,because both can go to the same church on sunday moorning.But at least christian.here are my two cents.

There are marriages that both couple are christian but attend different church they attend . Some do not give importance about having the same church . So it is up to the couple to agree about this thng
