This is the first time we experience in the Philippines wherein drug user and pusher surrender to the Police station from different areas in the Philippines. President Elect, Rudy Duterte, has been campaigning for a drug free country and it was during the campaign period two months ago before election, he said, 3 to 6 months he will clean the country from corruption and drugs. But we can see now, many drug user and pusher surrender and promise to refrain using drugs. In Quezon alone, last week, the tv news said, more than 800 people surrender, and so with in Mindanao, more than 100 people surrender.

Not only that, Duterte said, he will intend to revamp government personnel from top to bottom of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). He added, corruption must be stop. While having his speech last week, an approximately 350 million pesos is being corrupted from the BIR everyday. That would be a tantamount money that would be used for the improvement of the country, just in case not being corrupted.

Just last Friday, June 24, Philippines, is now in top 15 country that is good to invest to. This is a good sign that our country is getting develop and safe to invest for investors. This would create more job opportunities and so Filipinos can have job and so not to go to abroad. Also, I heard that the salary of nurses will be increased like 50,000 minimum wage. In this case, they will stay in our country and serve our countrymen rather than going to other country as OFW.

By the end of his term after 6 years, or in 2022, poverty will be cut down by 30%.

I've watched that in tv news. For drugs there's a prize to anyone can tell whose the drug lord or drug pusher is like 5 million for drug lord for drug pusher like 3million pesos. Maybe that's why many willing to do that they can help and have also money to by telling it the government.

Being a foreigner, I cannot comment on anything political inside of the Philippines, other than to wish the new President and Philippine citizens the best.

Yes Just say NO to drugs. If your a student don't be influence by your friends instead try to be friends with good ones sometimes friends can influence us to do the right or wrong. Even in life or at work but at the end of the day it's you are the one making your future .

Last Friday, July 1, 2016, there were more than 6,000 drug user and pusher who surrender in Cotabato, according to ABS-CBN news. We know for a fact that President Duterte said, he has zero tolerance when it comes to drugs. I just feel bad about the killings happening right now about this matter.

Death penalty by hanging will be instituted when someone is proven guilty of drug user/pusher, illegal recruitment, tanim bala or bullet planting at the airport and others. Are you with this death penalty by hanging?

I heard with my colleague talking about that topic. Many people are found dead in some cities last week or last month in terms of drugs i dont know if someone in higher position in government that appoint killing the drug pusher or user if they not surrender. I pity those whom are drug addicts if theres a chance they will stop using it or find some rehabilitation center. Its a big no for Killing without reason to kill they deserve to defend themselves . Everyone has deserve to live even the drug user unless your a rapist/murderer I would say Yes you deserve to die especially you rape the kids I hate to read article about that in the news paper.

There are many innocent people who are arrested and even convicted due to false evidence. Studies have shown that the death penalty does not deter crime. I am against it in most instances.

As for me i am in to death penalty it is for people who is proven guilty in many was that they do the crime..i may have pity on them but my heart is also in pain for the people they wrong.it isfor a better place...we may see people dead it is because they are against it, they commit crime and now rules are rules so if they dont submit they have to face death alone.

Absolutely right Sir, sometimes the innocent one had to die first after the truth reveal waste of lives of innocent people, so sad that is happening here in philippines but also in other countries. What if, that man is one of your family members? its hard to accept if your in that situation. I pray that it will not happens to me.
