Love Never Dies

Postby mystic » Wed Nov 04, 2020 2:00 am

One of my favorite musicals is Phantom of the Opera. Lately, searching it on youtube, I was finding some songs that... I didn't know. Where did they come from? So I found out that Webber debuted 10 years ago the sequel of Phantom of the Opera and named it Love Never Dies.
I read the funny stories about it. Like, when the musical was complete, Webber's cat walked on the electric piano that had the entire music recorded and accidentally hit certain buttons... and the entire musical was lost. Webber had to rewrite it entirely. That's really a big pain for a composer!
Listening to it, my first impression was that it was very far from the original Phantom (despite Phantom contains a hint to what becomes its main theme). It sounded much gloomier. Some passages remind me Batman style of soundtrack... The critics wrote that the plot is not well defined and gave poor reviews. Well, I am used that the gems are hidden where you less expect it, and that holds true for Love Never Dies too. So many songs contain so profound messages. Soon it became my favorite. Once you get used to that sort of decadent but engaging style, it's intoxicating.

This song reminds me very much of "Love is strong as death", Song of Solomon 8:6.

As for the plot, the sequel starts after Christine met the phantom, accepted his ugliness and faults (half of his face was severed), and fell badly in love with him, the only true love of her life. But their relation was impossible, and Christine marries another pretender, who can give her all the security that she needed, or at least she hoped (those things never work and both were unhappy). After many years, she goes back to sing in the theater where she met the phantom, just to find him again.
But the concept of love transcending death cannot escape the plot. So at the end she dies by an incident.
True love in history seems always bound to death... see Romeo and Juliet, or many other couples. Maybe, when it comes, death or some unforseen circumstances always try to delete it in the real world. Death only allows one last sigh when things finally fall into their right place, and all that could have been returns to oblivion, altering the course forever. I wonder if this is just a good plot for art, or art is just depicting what happens in real life, over and over.

Who knows when love begins
Who knows what makes it start
One day it's simply there
Alive inside your heart
It slips into your thoughts
It infiltrates your soul
It takes you by surprise
Then seizes full control
Try to deny it and try to protest
But love won't let you go
Once you've been possessed
Love never dies
Love never falters
Once it has spoken
Love is yours
Love never fades
Love never alters
Hearts may get broken
Love endures
Hearts may get broken
Love endures
And soon as you submit
Surrender flesh and bone
That love takes on a life
Much bigger than your own
It uses you at whim
And drives you to despair
And forces you to feel
More joy than you can bear
Love gives you pleasure
And love brings you pain
And yet when both are gone
Love will still remain
Once it has spoken
Love is yours
Love never dies
Love never alters
Hearts may get broken
Love endures
Hearts may get broken
Love never dies
Love will continue
Love keeps on beating
When you're gone
Love never dies
Once it is in you
Life may be fleeting
Love lives on
Life may be fleeting
Love lives on

Was once asked: "What are you good at?"
I answered: "Writing poems to woo women..."
The pastor wasn't happy with what I answered his wife.
I write poems from my heart in hopes a woman or many women would be very fond of me. My heart has so much love it is the strongest thing in my life. Second strongest thing in my life is... not wanting to be in this life because there is no woman who has embraced the love in my heart as it was/is meant for.
My words go on through the universe... but, there is no light that shines on it. No light that I see... only light that I feel with my heart.
Two "material" things I love are the Zebras and Railroads (and trains). So, I created an email name to combine the two.
ZEBra + RAilS = ZEBRAILS
My prefix name/title has existed since 1996/1997.

LOVE
L.O.V.E. is
Lord, Life given can
Open, obscure, openhearted
Very tight, heart closed
Eyes everlasting
****************************
There is a poem that goes with L.O.V.E.
Now, all that said... This is my first post, first response. Let me know of its acceptance, please.

Another song from Love Never Dies:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-H_vus3doA

Love's a curious thing
It often comes disguised
Look at love the wrong way
It goes un-recognized

So look with your heart
And not with your eyes
A heart understands
A heart never lies

Believe what it feels
And trust what it shows
Look with your heart
The heart always knows

Love is not always beautiful
Not at the start

So open your arms
And close your eyes tight
Look with your heart
And when it finds love
Your heart will be right

Learn from someone who knows
Make sure you don't forget
Love you misunderstand
Is love that you'll regret

I wish to pay tribute to José Carreras, an extraordinary person and real gentleman, who could spread unending love at every place he touched. His retirement from stage was delayed due to covid, and it has been unimaginable for the past couple of years that we will hear him no more.
Thank you for your inspiration, warmth, love, tenacity, and fighting against the big evil for all of us. Even you, who resurrected once, came to the point where all ends.
I want to remember you with your passionate interpretation of Frank Sinatra's song. And yes, much more than this, I did it my way:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VV42HapXvE&list=RD4fytLFIW3Lg&index=13

And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain

I've lived a life that's full
I've travelled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption

I planned each chartered course
Each careful step along the by-way
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out

I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed, and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing

To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels

The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Yes, it was my way

Here I am standing close to you and yet still so far away
So many times, I tried to say but my heart was afraid
Look at you is all that I can do
Like a silly girl I stare
'Cause you might leave me when I reveal
What my heart is really feeling

If I could just say the words
All the secrets in my heart and in my soul you'll hear
Will you take me in your arms or let me go
Our lovely days will they just fade like whispers in the wind
If I could just say the words
All the secrets in my heart and in my soul you'll hear
Can't you see the love I hide slip through my eyes
This silly girl so scared
She just can't say I love you

Here I am holding on to fate
What we have may never change
'Cause you might leave me when I reveal
My lips will seal the love I'm hiding

We're all just merely passing through
Doing what we can do in a lifetime
We have more than one adventure to take
More than one dream to make in our lifetime

As for me there's only one dream
And that's to love you, my love
With a love to last a lifetime

We're fools, we sometimes do crazy things
And our hearts would take wins like a sparrow
But that's life
We'll take each day as it comes
Never leaving the crumbs for tomorrow

As for me, all of my days
I will spend them all with you
Loving you with love to last a lifetime

If we all could leave something lasting behind to be remembered by
Just a song for me and that at least I would have tried
I agree it's not so much what we have
As how we use what we have in our lifetime

Thirty years is worth a hundred and two
It's really what we can do in our lifetime
All my love I would give for as long as I may live
With a love, true love, to last a lifetime
A love, to last a lifetime

It's hard for me too. We all change, despite being the same.

A few of years ago I realized that I dedicated a few of my works to my son, but none to my soulmate in my entire life. So, I started thinking what could be the best way to express to her all my love.

I decided to do this with what is dearest to me and can touch the innermost strings inside the heart by virtue of its nature. I really learned a lot of lost knowledge about music in my life. It was time to write a book on it. Music is harmony, the harmony of the Universe, but also the harmony of soulmates.
The effort opened up into so many branches that I had to solve first, before writing down the conclusions, that I entered an apparently never ending loop. Writing halted and I became involved in experiments of borderline physics that I am still conducting. But I hope I will soon resume writing my book, as I can progress and successfully close many of those branches.

One thing that I wrote already is the dedication to her. Indeed, there is a soulmate in my life (wherever she is). Her name starts with M... a six lettered word. But it's just one of the many ways I call her. I like to give nicknames.

If someone is interested, here is the link: https://musicsecrets.euniversity.pub/dedication.html
There, I really analyze what a soulmate is, and how a holy love should be.

GRACE

https://youtu.be/sL1DNipyurM

My heart is so proud. My mind is so unfocused.
I see the things You do through me as great things I have done.
And now You gently break me, then lovingly You take me
And hold me as my father and mold me as my maker.
I ask you: "How many times will you pick me up,
When I keep on letting you down?
And each time I will fall short of Your glory,
How far will forgiveness abound?"
And You answer: " My child, I love you.
And as long as you're seeking My face,
You'll walk in the power of My daily sufficient grace."
At times I may grow weak and feel a bit discouraged,
Knowing that someone, somewhere could do a better job.
For who am I to serve You? I know I don't deserve You.
And that's the part that burns in my heart and keeps me hanging on.
You are so patient with me, Lord.
As I walk with You, I'm learning what Your grace really means.
The price that I could never pay was paid at Calvary.
So, instead of trying to repay You, I'm learning to simply obey You
By giving up my life to you For all that You've given to me.

I have my low moments couple of weeks ago. It always boils down to family issues which it affected me my whole being. I felt that no body understand me because each time I vent my feelings inside of me, my siblings most of the time advise me to be more understanding. However, lately, they fully understand when my siblings experience at hand that I have been experiencing for the longest time I move back home. My elder sister felt sorry about for not understanding me because she cry and lose weight for couple of weeks then due to stress. She told me, I was strong enough i survive, but the truth is, it was the grace of the Father.

And so, I used to sing this song. This song reminds me of unconditional love of our Father. Even, when we fail Him, He has open arms to receive us. And that is the love I pray and show to my family now. I used to have affirmation of love towards them that no matter what, even they make mistake, they might make wrong decisions in life and even they ignore me, my love remains for them and that I am here to accept them of who they are. It is just so moving and powerful message of such unconditional love.
When you do not know what to do or which way to turn, smile. This will relax your mind and let the sunshine of happiness into your soul.

Trust His Heart

https://youtu.be/XWk8DRwDYDc

All things work for our good
Though sometimes we don't see
How they could
Struggles that break our hearts in two
Sometimes blind us to the truth
Our Father knows what's best for us
His ways are not our own
So when your pathway grows dim
And you just don't see Him,
Remember you're never alone
God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His Heart
Trust His Heart
He sees the master plan
And he holds our future in His hand,
So don't live as those who have no hope,
All our hope is found in Him
We see the present clearly
But He sees the first and the last
And like a tapestry He's weaving you and me,
To someday be just like Him
God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His Heart
He alone is faithful and true
He alone knows what is best for you
God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His Heart
When you don't understand
When you don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His Heart
Trust His Heart

Life, sometimes, is unpredictable. We do not see what is ahead of us. We tend to overthink and plan our future and it is normal to have negative feelings and fears. It is good to have someone we can count on, be it family, friends or strangers. However, there is emptiness we feel inside of us.

This song entitled "Trust His Heart" is very comforting. It reminds me of who holds my life and future. I may not understand however His heart I can trust. He has promised to give us peace and His thoughts is for our good and not evil Jeremiah 29:11.

This song also reminds me of how He can work great things through us. For these, it reminds me that He has the best interest at heart for us. I used to tell these to my family especially during times of negativity and so it won't foster in the minds. When things go wrong, I remind myself, "who is in control"? Yes, He is. Because when we don't understand, when we don't see His plan, we can always trust His heart.
When you do not know what to do or which way to turn, smile. This will relax your mind and let the sunshine of happiness into your soul.

We all have faults, and we must live with them. That holds true even for the faults in the others.

Sometimes, and maybe more than often, faults are not our own, but they are chains that we bring from our past, or toxic mindsets we have inherited, or many other usually external obstructions (rightfully, they called it Sitra Ha-Ra, the Other Side). I feel it is right to love a person with it's own faults. At the end, you don't love someone because of being perfectly plain and straightforward, but because of it's particularities and faults. But when you are in the position to see that such a person has chains... it's like a duty to help and break those chains.

We usually don't like to be scolded, and it's not really the right way. The image that comes to my mind is that of a gentleman wearing his smoking. Invariably, he will wear his tie bent. Someone is required to fix it straight, as he cannot see it by himself. That's truly a big act of love. It's not intended to offend the person, change him, show him that he is having a fault. It's for making him more beautiful, so all will see. And he gladly accepts the intervention. He feels completed, loved. It's a funny thing, but when you go in a concert hall, you can tell the emotional and family status of a person just by looking at his tie.

Some chains require the whole being of a person to participate. Jesus said that he came to separate between father and son, husband and wife, etc. That resembles more of an illness. Better to take out the sick spleen rather than die earlier. Just an example. Sometimes we need to get rid of a big luggage. And usually we are unable to heal ourselves, simply because we are not in the position to see something that for other may be obvious. Unfortunately, the saying "don't remove the straw from the neighbor's eye if you don't remove it from yours before" is far from real. Reality is, a doctor cannot do surgery on himself. He needs others to get anesthesia, cut his body while he is asleep, remove the issue, sew him back. All is always matter of good judgment, and a selfless and loving attitude in the service of the Almighty.

There is also another thing. The one who went through great sufferings is usually the one who can see the issues in the others at once, and often knows how to help. However, that's not easy. Each of us has its own "language". Communicating the right thing is usually a challenge, and it does not depend exclusively on the transmitter, but also on the receiver. The most trashed and misunderstood thing in the world is Ahava, love, despite we all seem to look for it. But if it does not come when and in the form we expect it, it's just misunderstood. It seems it needs some sort of "alignment" in order to be perceived. So, it is a good attitude to accept everything with humbleness, and think how that person was expressing its love. So, we will be open to perceiving the soul of the person, and love its faults also.

My favorite author once said:
The things that are useful for man to know are:
What he is,
where good and evil come from,
how he will behave in the good and the bad,
how he can heal bodily and spiritually,
how he can achieve this,
what his Creator is,
what the mysteries of the great divine wonders are.
Only then will the desire for God’s love and grace be awakened in him, a desire that will manifest the image of God in him by the will of the Spirit.

I feel that here I am done now, and I will return to nil, the place I belong to. Use your gifts. Love to all
