Most of the photos were taken by Manny Maglasang who is the Administrator of the Orphanage. This is his house where all of the children are living now. The donations that I have been receiving for the past 5 weeks ($700) are going to be used to build a room onto his house so that the children will have someplace to sleep besides on the kitchen and living room floor. Presently, it appears that they will have to live in his house for a long, long time because there is no money to build a new shelter. There may be a new addition soon. A baby. There has been a young woman who has been corresponding with me, and she is pregnant from her boyfriend, and she does not want to keep the baby. Manny and his wife have agreed to adopt the child, but recently the woman's brother has expressed his desire to keep the baby in their family. We are uncertain at this point in time how all of this will play out.

This boy (Mike) is one of the orphans. He has won an award for being an honor student, the top of his class. The gentleman is one of the house parents.

This girl (Lordeen) is accompanied by Mr. Maglasang. She also won an award for being an honor student, the best in her class.

This is the latest email from the orphanage, dated 5/18/10:

Hello Mic, yes, because of the situation now that the price of construction materials very high, I almost spend the money you sent to me last time, but I think this is much better than we rent a house for twenty thousand per month, and regarding my wife Mic, at first I think, or the way I look at her maybe she feel very hard to adjust but after all those days had passed I most thank God that she accepted everything, and we are all happy together with the kids, even though sometimes or so many times that I do not have money even e single cent in my pocket but I can still manage to smile because I know that God is with me, and also there are some kindhearted people who support my cause specially you my friend so thank you so much for the support. God Bless.

Life is difficult but what ever life could be there is always a reason to be happy because God loves us and He is always there when we need Him. Thanks to the people who has a BIG heart to help to those who are less fortunate. May the Lord shower more blessings to all of you. "It is better to give than to receive" and that is very true. Hope that there are lots of people who are willing to continue to share their blessings in life.

Here is the latest email from Mr. Maglasang concerning the eighteen orphans living in his home:

Hello Mic, how are you? we hope and pray that you are always in good health, I and the kids are all fine here, you know Mic, its a full of fun since the school year will started, because I have to wake-up at 3am I am the one who prepare their food and at 4am I wake them up because we have only one CR to take a bath and we have kids scheduled 5am 6am and 7am then I take them to their respected school, but asides of all difficulties I can still manage to smile, you know Mic, the ABS-CBN Manila was here last June 12, only to ask me about our Organization that's all. So Mic, again thank you so much for the support, God Bless You.
