It is just but right that both party will be contented of what the family earn..and just spend what the family really needs and if there are extras, they have to save for emergencies..its not always healthy if the woman doesn't know how to handle or do the budgeting coz if that's the case they will always end up penniless and that would always result to problems...

My girlfriend who is a filipina spend a lot if she likes something but i don't mind that because i love her. I don't want to spoil her but i want to show her the world and everything has to offer. She is a simple woman who spend her life in a very difficult situation. As much as i can i want to help her family and her relatives. She is so loving and godly, sweet and caring and most of all faithful and submissive. I love filipina culture it is the best of all especially those who are in the province. so guys find one because filipina is the best woman to spend a lifetime.

most of us foreign guys wholeheartedly agree with you, ronald...
and, yes, many of us foreign guys are hoping to someday find a good wife (proverbs 18:22)... one of the reasons we are here on jaderune is because we're ALREADY convinced filipinas can be fantastic, loving, cooperative, godly wives :D ...
anyway, my current attitude is: even if i never find a wife, i am learning many new things and enjoying communicating with filipinas as friends and acquaintances :)... one thing i think i've learned from my observations and experiences is: most filipinas are friendly, open, respectful, humble, sweet, kind, honest, devoted, interesting, and intelligent people..... (and they have a pretty good sense of humor, too ).... MOST important of all, they have a deep respect, "fear" and love for GOD in their hearts and minds :D ...

That is such a wonderful quality too! It feels so good to know that you will have your partner tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that. Having the love and security is wonderful. :D :D :D :D

Yes, Mr. Edwin. That is one of the greatest wonders of Filipina, willing to spend a life time and they are martyr for love
I believe that men too are looking for a filipina because of this quality that she possesses.
Me, for sure want to find a partner that value the saying: :P :P :P In sickness and in health. til death do us part :P :P :P
An intimate relationship w/ God must b our highest priority. When U hav right or poor relationship w/Him,out of that relationshp flows everything else in our life. Thus, your relationship to Him determines how you live your life. It all relates to that

My girlfriend has unique quality, sweet and simple. She is approachable and friendly. She lilkes to go swimming and boating. Though conservative but she likes to wear shorts and pants.

There are some interesting topics in this thread.

Regarding a man trusting his wife with financial matters. Hmm, I don't want to marry a woman that I can't trust with the entire contents of my wallet, bank account and heart. I think there are some significant cultural differences even though there is some crossover. Personally, I hope that I will when married consider my wife to be my partner and ally in all things but It's not uncommon to see representations in US/Western mass-media of husband and wife not being a team but rather being almost like adversaries who each try to get the most out of life and their marriage for themselves.

I remember the intros to a couple of popular TV shows (old ones, I don't watch a lot of TV these days) that showed some negative portrayals of marriage. The Jetsons, a popular cartoon for kids, showed in the intro that the husband offered his wife a banknote (presumably to go shopping) but she took his whole wallet from him instead and he looked upset. There was also the Married With Children intro where the whole family one by one take money from the father/husband and he looks totally glazed over and defeated until at the end the family pet (dog) approaches and gets given money because the guy just doesn't care anymore and it's like he's broken and defeated by his own family.

I think that more traditional cultural values put family and relationships before material and superficial things. Some guys might get burned by greedy and materialistic women but then again you sometimes see rich older men displaying their wealth in order to land a beautiful and stylish young woman, can he be surprised if in the end she shows more interest in shopping for Prada, Bulgari, Dolce and Gabbana than loving him? I think that one of the great assets of the culture of the Philippines, and what is most endearing about the people, is their genuineness and readiness with a smile. For me no amount of expensive make up or designer clothing could beat a genuine smile and laugh.

Regarding jealousy... well, I suppose too much of anything can be unhealthy but if it's just a matter of someone expecting the same singular focus and faithfulness in return that they give to their spouse then that makes sense. As long as it's not excessive I think that a bit of jealous behaviour can be quite cute and funny. That said, trust is important too.

jealousy is the most common identity of a Filipina..a woman wants her man to be all eyes on her, but in return her love and loyalty were given only to a single man.
