A WORLD OF TECHNOLOGY

Postby John Mussah » Thu Jul 22, 2010 12:18 pm

We are living in a new age (a world of complete technology). I have serious problem with the girls and women that have decided to appear on Jade and Rune Pen Pals. 95% of these ladies have no email addresses at least to begin the first contact with. Messages by post now a day - especially for us in Africa, are very slow and in some places difficult for effective communication when it comes to social program like Jade and Rune Pen Pals. Social program contacts require constant exchange of conversation or communication. Email services bring people who are even far away from each other closer together. It makes the world a global village.

I am therefore suggesting to the management of this social net work to encourage these ladies to obtain email addresses for quick contact. Mails through Postal addresses can continue after those first contacts are made.

I guest some body can help me better get over this or buttress my concern.

Yes I do agrea with you, emails are a good way to communicate with people, fast etc. But you need to consider a few things. Emails are fast and easy to write. But, what kind of first impression do you think that gives? A letter takes time and effort, so gives a better first impression. Besides that, an email can be from anyone. Do you know who is writting them really who they say they are. Is rose Amora from cebu really rose? Or is she really a middle age man from Chicago having some fun at your expense.

That is why postal mail is a much better way to begin communication. A letter to someone, means so much more. You have taken the time to write it, and post it. it has meaning. Also it is genuine. You both have each others address. Not just an email. That is the diferrance. Email might be quick and easy. You will find they do have an email adddress, often even chat addresses. But. they want to to know you a little first before they give them to you. In life, If you want something you have to work for it. :) :) :)

P.S. You will know what I mean when you recieve your first letter reply :D :D :D

P.P.S. Any names or places mentioned above, do not refer to real people or events.

In a brief response to John's post I will say that the website has been in existence for more than 12 years. In the past several years the internet has emerged as the best means of communication, but that was not the case for the majority of the time that this website has been available. So many of the ladies who joined this site in the first 7 or 8 years, did not have email addresses.
Since I bought the site in July of 2008, I would say that 90% of the ladies who have joined, do have email addresses, so things are changing. I am not going to write letters to all of the ladies who do not have email addresses to ask them to get one. But if anyone wishes to spend their time and money to do that, then I will provide them with a list of all the contact information, and they can get started with that task immediately.
And, as cougarkharne has stated, a letter is a great way to begin a correspondence. If it is difficult to get mail delivered to the area in which one lives, then a guy can send a lady his email address in a letter, and ask that she respond to him via email.
The New Additions pages are up to #11 now.....hint, hint!! (90% of these Ladies have emails)

Fast is not always better. There is something said for brewing a cup of coffee rather than just microwaving it, but I don't drink it either way.

Something that someone has put effort into is more valuabe than something that is done quick and easy. I used to have beautiful handwriting before I broke my wrist. It has not been the same since. I don't have the agility to make beautiful scrolling letters. I still try. When my older brother was my age he shook so badly when he would take a pen in his hand that he couldn't write anything. He has to hold his coffee with both his hands in order to be able to drink it, he shakes so badly. My older sister shakes also when she tries to do anything. My mother shook so badly when she would hold a pen that she could hardly write, but she still tried right up until the time she died.

I read some hints about writing, and writing a personal letter to someone as well as putting some nice touch such as a feather or a leaf has a nice effect.

The world of technology has not made everything better. It is still nice to do some things the old fashioned way! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
