I used to download and watch movies years ago, but since then our internet provider has started limiting bandwidth. We are not allowed enough bandwidth now to do that, although it is available for people who are allowed that much bandwidth.

The bandwidth is unlimited from 12 midnight until 6 a.m. Our grandkids stay up often and download movies and music during those hours. They can now, but when school starts they can't do that as they have to get up early to get on the bus to head for school. One of our granddaughter said that when school started she can only do that two days of the week, Friday and Saturday, and then Sunday they will have to be in bed early so that they can get their rest for school.

Carol and one of the grandkids are watching a movie. The other granddaughter is messaging with her laptop computer. I am doing this. We stopped by the library among other places today as we went to town early for the granddaughters' dental appointment. I brought home a Bill and Gloria Gaither Homecoming reunion music DVD. That is the second time we have brought it home from the library, and we have not managed to watch it yet. It should be fun. :D :D :D :D

While we ate lunch we watched "Green Card." The kids watched it a few months ago but I was busy working on assignments for a class I was taking, so I couldn't watch it, but today I did. We watched it years ago. The movie has a lot of good humor in it. This gal from New York City married this guy from France so he could get a green card. I think he paid her for marrying him, and she got a green house out of the deal. They were going to get a divorce as soon as he got his green card. I think it was that he couldn't remember a certain place, like Monte Carlo or something like that, where I think she was born, I'm not sure I have that correct, but anyway he couldn't remember it, so the immigration people denied his rights to stay in the country. He was already overstaying his visa, but since they were married the immigration people were going to give them a chance if their interviews went okay. This was just an arranged marriage so that he could get his green card, and there was no love there. As they were concucting the information to try to impress the immigration people they were falling in love. As he was being deported they were hugging and kissing and showing signs of being madly in love. The movie leaves you wondering if they ever get together again. It was fun with a lot of good humor.

At one time years ago I used to download and watch movies, but our internet provider has become restrictive about the use of bandwidth, and now we would not be allowed to do that. It is pretty nice for anyone who is allowed to use that much bandwidth.

Wow - that takes me back. "Good night John boy" :D :D A similar show was "Little House On the Prairie". It must be 30 years ago they were being shown in the UK. I had forgotten them until you reminded me.

wow, yes, almost 40 years ago... it originally ran from 1972-1981 in the u.s. ....
    very heart-warming and humorous entertainment...
most episodes bring tears to my eyes because of the sometimes difficult moral dilemmas and choices that are made on the show... most episodes also make me smile and laugh :D .... i especially enjoy grandpa walton's sense of humour  ... he reminds me a lot of my dad  ...
believe it or not, i did not own a t.v during those years until 1980... but even after purchasing a t.v., i did not have enough free time to watch many t.v. shows then... so i never actually watched "the walton"s" until last year :o ... when i noticed the public library had the first 5 seasons on d.v.d. :D ... then i was able to check them out from the library and watch them at home... now i can say i have watched most episodes from the first 5 seasons... several times  ...
(although i did not watch much t.v. in 1980, i do remember seeing Dylan sing "You gotta serve Somebody" on "saturday night live" 8-) and hearing howard cosell interrupt the football game to announce that John Lennon had been shot and killed in New York city :( ... those are the only 2 things i saw on t.v. in 1980 that are still alive in my memory ) ...
