Too cool hand,
I would seriously consider a woman 35 years my junior.
The "party" thing is indeed a problem as parties I enjoy are quite different than what most kids think of at a party. But how many parties do married people over the age of 30 go to anyway? Of course theme parties are common (birthdays, christenings, baby showers, weddings) but "just hang out" parties are for unattached kids, not married couples with kids at home. If you are a social butterfly, with every kid you went to high school still a friend you see regularly, you are not a candidate for a May December marriage for sure. If you are mostly a stay at home person, with a few very close friends, you probably are.
The TV argument... Get 2 TVs and each watch with head phones, sharing interesting parts of there own selected programming.
