MAN ENOUGH TO ANSWER

Postby m&m » Thu Oct 29, 2009 2:15 am

Hey girls please read this poem and keep your standard high :D
" A WOMAN'S QUESTION"

Do you know you have asked for the costliest thing
Ever made by the hand above?
A woman's heart and a woman's life-
And a woman's wonderful love.

Do you know you have asked for the priceless thing
As a child might ask for a toy?
Demanding what others have died to win,
With the reckless dash of a boy.

You require your mutton shall always be hot,
Your socks and your shirt be whole,
I require your heart be true as God's stars
And as pure as his heaven your soul

You require a cook for your mutton and beef,
I require a far greater thing.
A seamstress you're wanting for socks and shirts-
I look for a man and a king.

A king for the beautiful real called HOME,
And a man that his Maker, God,
Shall look upon as He did on the first
And say, "It is very good."

I am fair and young, but the rose may fade,
From this soft young cheek one day;
Will you love me then 'mid the falling leaves,
As you did 'mong the blossoms of May?

Is your heart an ocean so strong and true,
I may launch my all on its tide?
A loving woman finds heaven or hell
On the day she is made a bride.

I require all things that are grand and true,
All things that a man should be;
If you give this all, I would stake my life
To be all you demand of me.

If you cannot be this, a laundress and cook
You can hire and little to pay;
But a woman's heart and a woman's life
Are not to be won that way.
An intimate relationship w/ God must b our highest priority. When U hav right or poor relationship w/Him,out of that relationshp flows everything else in our life. Thus, your relationship to Him determines how you live your life. It all relates to that

Yes, it is. The meaning is so true. Men should ponder things when he ask the costliest thing on earth, that is the woman's heart and love. :P :P :P

Yes, and that is why it is so important not to hurt anyone else by playing games with them. The losses are devestating. The rewards of being true are bountiful too! :D :D :D :D

You are right it is not good to hurt someone, but sometimes it is not true that someone will reciprocate someone's love.

M&M, a very good poem with some interesting lines that require more introspection. For example, I had no idea that mutton was so "big" in the Philippines. No, that is not as significant as the overall points.

If I may, my thoughts: Yes, set your sights very high for a man. Never compromise (prior!) to starting to get to know him -- right from the start. If he is not a firm, genuine, sincere Christian, forget it. Even when he is, what does he really believe about the Bible. Find out. Does he drink alcohol? If yes, then NO CHANCE. Does he ever use bad language, then reject him. How does he treat his mother and father? His siblings and other relatives? Does he have close friends that are other men and who are they? How long has he been a Christian? Observe how these men friends interact with him if these are his closest friends. Does he easily go to Jesus in prayer? What are his thoughts about children and how to raise them to love Jesus and learn in the church? Where and how does he spend his "free time?"

Usually dealing with finances is a key indicator: How does he spend money? Does he see it as God's money or his own? Does he tithe faithfully to the church or good missions or missionaries no matter what?

All this you must learn very soon as you start to talk, write, phone, and maybe date this man. Don't ever compromise. If he's not a true Christian, no chance. The above is non-negotiable.

In my next post I will share my thoughts -- if you like -- on how to keep your marriage "in love" through the years.

Some christian marry a non-christian and later on the other non-christian was converted to be christian.
The most important here is being good at heart and be sincere and true to what you are saying.
It should be coming from the heart and not just flirting and telling promises.

A woman's heart should not be played with. We are struggling with our emotions so men should be very careful about our hearts. Sometimes, flirting or not serious communication will cause a lot of trouble to a woman's heart.

Nobody should have their heart trifled with.Fidelity and sincerity are not the responsibility of only the man. They should be the foundation and pretty much the reason for the relationship.A lot of guys play selfish games in dating.So do a lot of women.It is not more wrong for one than it is for the other and such a behavior by one does not justify it for the other.
Some guys look at a girl or a woman as a trophy. Something to use to advertise their success.There is no way that a happy,long term relationship can be expected from this guy.We all know of good women who live under the thumb of some self absorbed controlling jerk.She can expect a life without respect.
Some women also look for a trophy man. He can expect a life of being dictated to.We have all met men who have almost worked themselves to death to pay for a bunch of crap that they didn`t even want to satisfy an uncaring wife.After being the one that provided the good material life he can be threatened with expulsion from the home he paid for if the shrew decides to divorce him so that she can shop for a better deal. Not much respect there either.
This should not be a question of how the man should treat the woman,or how the woman should treat the man.It`s not about what religion either one is.It`s not about who has the better education or who makes more money.
Both the man and the woman have to be solid enough to be true to both their partner and to themselves.Integrity and empathy are probably the most important traits that one can have.BOTH the man and the woman should commit to each other totally and there has to be ongoing dialogue so that neither is excluded from the things that make up a life together. Honesty and trust will go far to keep a relationship happy and balanced.
