Last week, working days were only 2 & 1/2, Monday, Tuesday and half day on Wednesday.

Then in the afternoon, i went to the Baptist Family camp and lots of delegates coming from other churches attended.

The theme of the said camp was "God's Ideal Family." There, different Pastors share about many points what is God's Ideal Family.

Others also point out what are the roots of an ideal family. Other Pastor stressed that God's ideal family is that all the members of the family but serve and sick the Lord first in everything.

On the other hand, another Pastor said that, a woman and man should desire to be a God centered family while they are yet singles. To achieve such God's ideal family does not happen as snap of the hand, but it needs hard work and desire and prayers.

the camp started wednesday night, and the speaker was Pastor Montalban, pastor from kadingilan.
On the second day, during morning devotional, different pastors lead the men and women department, the young people, the high school department and so with the children's department.

Another message that i remember was about, two major things Why God is displease in our life.

The speaker was Pastor Dan Canlas from Davao Baptist Church. In kings 18:30, it speak about to go back to the Lord. The most dangerous things happen to us christian is that when we disobey the Lord our God. In what way? One thing marrying the wrong person? How did we get wrong? Marrying a person who is unbeliever. We are reminded that we must not unequally joked with the unbeliever. Many things we become disobedient to God and we suffer the consequences of our sins.

Another things that displease God is Idolatry. Anything that will exchange our hearts for the Lord is already an idolatry. Anyone or anything that will hinder our relationship with Him is already an idolatry. Begin the day with the heart first to the Lord and He will guide us all way.

Our department, the young people's department, Pastor Roger Ponce, assistant pastor of Pastor Verano shared about "The Guidance of the Lord". He talked about how the Lord guide us in choosing a partner. In John 10:27 as the text, the Lord guide us through His word, the Bible. The Lord gives us Pastors, preachers and evangelist to share to us the word of God.

Secondly, the Lord guides us with His eyes. In Psalms 32:8, it says, I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go I will guide thee with mine eyes.

Thirdly, the Lord guide us with His counsel. In Psalms 73:24, says, Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, ...Indeed God is speaking to us though His word and we are instructed by it. So we must take hid in His word.

Lastly, the Lord guide us with His presence. Please read John 10:4. God's presence is always there for us. Do not be afraid because He is a loving father who always guides us as we ask His leading and right direction.

What a wonderful encouragement to us all young people as we are guided by the word of God.

See what happens when the country girl goes to the city, she joins the exercise club!

You guys are all going to think I am terrible when I tell this on myself, but most all of our relatives and families are thin, skinny people, so we all make fun of over weight people, not to be mean, but just to be funny. My brother and I both have had overweight wives all of our lives, but they just think about how stupid we are when we laugh and joke about over weight people. I made a joke that I was not proud of a number of years ago. We were at an all you can eat place, and I said to my wife and daughter, "Just look around, and see all the heavy people, and then you know it is a great place to eat." Well, they both thought it was funny, but when one of them told my grandson, then it wasn't so funny, because he gave me a chewing out. He has been considered obese since he was in elementary school. He has grandparents on his Dad's side of the family that are heavy people, and he inherited those genes from them. He told me how that he battled with his weight, and he didn't think what I said was funny. He was right, and I have tried to be more careful since. He did fairly well with his struggle as long as he was home, so that his Mom could slap his hand whenever he tried to eat something that he should not have. He went on a Missionary trip to South Africa a couple of years ago, supported by his church, and a few friends. He did great, and went on the highest bungie jump in the world, and everyone was sick that he would jump like that, and some were concerned because he does weigh a lot, but it turned out okay. He spend a year attending Hillsong College in Australia, and did great. He has a magnificent tenor voice, plays the piano, and the guitar. While there he went down town each day, took his guitar, and sang for people, and by doing that he made enough money to pay his rent and buy groceries. He is also the Worship Leader at his church, since coming back from Hillsong. He plans to stay here a year and then return to Hillsong. He works now in a Pizza Restaurant, and he has joined an exercise club, he is losing weight, building muscles, and we are proud of him! He is a good boy, what can I say, he is our grandson, and we love him!

My week has sure been crazy. Last thursday I made my weekend trip to Manila to get my fiance. I arrived on friday night real late and we spent sat and sunday visiting and spending long lost time together. Monday morning we arrived at the airport to come back to the states only to be told that she can't get on the plane because she hadn't taken her seminar. I had to return on monday so she stayed and got her seminar done and rebooked her flight. Finally on thursday night me and my kids made a trip to the airport to pick her up. So far we've gotten to be together friday and saturday here and we've already gotten our marriage license and the date set. It sure has taken a long time but it is well worth the wait. I'm just glad to finally have her home.

Some days we just have to miss. I was never sick much in my life. I worked at one job for 6 years, only missing a couple of days for funerals. I taught school for teachers who were sick for 10 years. Sometimes I was sick too, but I went anyway, except one time I couldn't talk I was so sick, so I didn't go then, because for a teacher not to be able to talk would be disaster.

Actually, I was so busy the rest of the week. Working Monday to Friday at the BFP, I go home at home on Saturday; do the laundry, general cleaning the house, cook food for mama, clean the surroundings and visit the farm. On Sundays, I need to attend classes at TESDA regarding preventive maintenance and defensive driving. Last Sunday we are taught about trouble shooting. Was so hard at first but then later on I learn.
