to keep the love alive, give sanction to God for the person you are praying. it is a good thing to know that God is the center of every relationship.
Edwin wrote:They say, "Love is blind." What they mean is that the young couple going together can't see the other's faults, and they think everything is wonderful. Then after marriage comes the eye opener when they suddenly realize that everything is not wonderful, and that it is forever, or at least it should be. I have also heard it said that, "You should go into marriage with your eyes wide open while courting, thinking about the flaws and the problems, and then after marriage you should close your eyes to the other person's faults." That is what Jesus has done for us. He has forgiven us and cleansed us, and now He doesn't see our faults, but He only sees us as being made whole by His healing for us, we being His chidren.
This young ministerial student had 2 girls he was interested in. One was beautiful, but had no talents. The other was not blessed with beauty, but she could play and sing skillfully. He thought to himself, "I would reallly like to marry the beautiful girl, but the talented one would serve me better in my ministry. So he married the one that was blessed with talent and not beauty. They went on a camping trip, and for breakfast around the breakfast camp fire she was not looking even as good as normal with her lack of beauty. He sat there on a log for a minute pondering what he had done, then suddenly he said, "Sing, honey, sing!"
