Banned Again

Postby Twosparrows » Sun Nov 06, 2011 3:29 pm

Having been banned from numerous sites for just being who I am, i thought a Filipino site would be a place where I could just be me; I was wrong..
To explain: It is my "religious beliefs " which causes the turmoil, since the Philippines are predominantly Christian / Catholic I thought tbe expression of Christian spiritual thought would be embraced with some level of enthusiasm, not hatred..
I do not consider myself as some religious fanatic wacko and do not push my views on others nor preach 'fire and brimstone'.
It seems in todays world it is a evil thing to believe in God and completely intolerable to believe in Jesus.
I suppose I should not be surprised; Jesus said, ' No one is above their teacher, if they hated me , they will hate you also'....
.....so it's all good, right?

Obviously, the Filipino site from which you were banned was not this one, or you wouldn't have been able to post or vent your anger here. I do ban members almost everyday from this site, but those who have been banned post ads, porn, or after having several warnings, will continue to belittle and bash flipinas or other members, or make threats against me for having this Forum and free website.
I don't ban members for being Christians or for professing their belief in God. Praise the Lord!!!!!! :D

I seriously think that there is a lot more to this story than first stated with the original poster. Saying something true, that some people in the Philippines find offensive is almost never a reason for banning somebody. I have been cautioned and had posts removed when I posted true things/observations that some Filipinos might feel were not complementary, but that site's stated goals were to "promote understanding and good will in the Filipino community and to the world". Lets face it, the more visitors, the more money the site owner can perhaps gain. Who would ban somebody who brings more traffic? I have my bread prepared with mayonnaise, because I smell baloney.

Perhaps, you are one of those guys who likes to preach. Professing your religions views are expected, but, arguing religious doctrine, insulting those with opposing views will get you banned from virtually every site I have ever visited.

Thank you for the comments. I am straight to the point kinda guy. This (I think) often gets misinterpreted. For example : I am not really angry per se, just am alittle angry at how things like homosexuality, evolution, abortion ect.... are elevated to a reverent acceptance that must be embraced for one to be considered a good person. While being open concerning one's Christianity on the internet is seen as a evil ehich must be stamped out.
Some may think something smells like bologna, time will tell. However the point of my post is while I expected it on a "western"site, I never expected it on a Filipino site. (obviously not this one). Therefore I guess what I am saying is I am surprised how fast the Philippines are being westernized.

I substitute taught for a science teacher in the 1990s, and his students told me that they would not be holding his students responsible for any evolution information because he did not believe it himself.

Jesus loved the sinner, but He hated and hates sin. Homosexuality is sin according to the Bible. There is no argument there.

Abortion is also against Christian principals and is the murder of an unborn child. There is no argument there either.

two sparrows,

I have not found it pays to point out in public who is, and who are maybe, sinners.

I will leave that up to God, and perhaps that is partly why God, through Jesus, forgave sinners, so men would not need to judge.

Perhaps what is written in the Bible is not as relevant to some as it may be to you, and for sure it is proof to some and proof of ignorance to others. God will only judge you, and though you may be your brother's keeper, your brother will indeed be judged as well, by God. Not every man on earth, is your brother.

There is no faith without taking a stand on where your personal beliefs differ with others. Each person decides for himself how he will face God, with his faith on his sleeve.

If sinners don't think you a good person because the way you lead your life, so be it, pray for them.
