Ten-Minute Deadline

What do you do when you are told you have 10 minutes. Everyone here has been told they have a ten minute deadline to get ready and get in the car to head down the hill for the birthday celebration. I was greasing my boots when the 10 minute call came. I finished greasing my boots, and finished getting my clothing on. Now I am writing about the 10 minute deadline. Often when it is time to go I have to go through the house checking everything to make sure the electic stove is turned off, and the coffee pot is off as well. I also turn the radio on so that the animals, bird and dogs have Christian music to listen to. I also check both doors to make sure they are latched, and I have to do that after everyone is out of the house, because they can be shut but not latched, and then the wind can blow them open later. We have had that happen during the middle of the night when we were alseep, and it got very cold in the house before we realized there was a door open. I have the reputation of taking a long time to get out of the house, so they are always after me to be on time. We actually have 3 minutes now, so I better go. See you all!
