I think it would be fun to see the monuments of military history. The beaches would be fun also. The beautiful scenery would be vey enjoyable. I am not interested in water sports, but other people are very interested in water sports. I don't care about diving, snorkling, skidooing, parasailing, or any other that. It just doesn't interest me. I also am not interested in a taste of food from home, as I am very happy to eat what any of the other filipinos eat. I am also not interested in what would be considered tourist attractions. I worked with the tourist industry for 10 years, and what most people who tourists like I don't care about. I enjoy mixing with the local people, enjoying visiting with them; talking about what there lives are like. I like just being with the filipino people, feeling safe, being comfortable, and feeling like I am accepted among them. So parts of Subic would appeal to me, while other parts I would have no interest in. If I could just mix with the local filipino people, enjoy what they enjoy, eat what they eat, have fun with them, laugh with them, cry with them, enjoy their lives, sleep with them, go to church with them; that is what would make me happy. :D :D :D :D

Holly, thank you for offering this information of a getaway in Subic. I know many people would love the water sports there. My brother-in-law was into all those things, especially diving, and he has a quite a collection of shells, and even a shell named after him. I enjoy a little swimming, although I am not a strong swimmer. At that time I just like to walk and see things. I am not going for running or jogging as it can be hard on joints, and our neighbor told me that he used to jogg until he started having knee problems. I enjoy looking at anything that has to do with history. I also would enjoy seeing some of the big, old, beautiful churches. The golden eyed tigers would be fun to see. As I have said before I would not have any particular craving to eat the food from my home country as I enjoy filipino food very much. :D :D :D :D
