The Joys of Kissing!

Postby Edwin » Sun Sep 04, 2011 4:26 pm

There was a song that the little kids sang, when our kids were in school. Part of it was K-I-S-S-I-N-G, and that is all I can remember of it as it wasn't my song but our kids' song with their friends and school mates.

We all kiss babies, and especially our babies! I have a grandson who is bigger than I am, and he still kisses me on the lips. It feels kind of funny because he is an adult, but that is the way I kissed him when he was a little boy. Some of us have kissed our mother-in-laws and father-in-laws. It is common for people in other countries to kiss on the cheek much like we would shake hands.

So there are all kinds of kisses with different purposes and different feelings.

I found this article in the MSN Health News, and I thought it was interesting. There is one part I am editing to suit mysefl as I don't agree with what it said. If you want to see what it said before I altered it you can do a Google Search and find the article, and if you don't wait too long it will be easy for you to find.

Want to make your smooches even hotter or just learn some fun facts? Read on for these kissing tips...

1. There are tons of nerve endings ...

… in your lips (100 times more than in your fingertips!) that stimulate desire. That's why smooching before, during, and after sex can be extremely arousing and satisfying.

2. Pay attention to those "See ya later" pecks. If your guy ...

… routinely only gives you a quick kiss on the cheek when saying good-bye, it could be that he's guarded and doesn't emote easily. If this is a more recent development, it's a warning sign; he may be feeling ambivalent about the relationship.

3. Forty percent of men say that ...

… a really long, steamy kiss will get them immediately ready to head to the bedroom.

Source: Cosmo Poll, April 2009

4. Instantly turn up the kissing intimacy by ...

… closing the "A-frame": a smooching stance in which you and your guy are in the middle of a smooch but your hips are a mile apart. By pressing your hips together, the degree of desire quickly rises.

5. The best way to kiss a guy's ear? Kiss and ...

… suck on his earlobe for a moment and then trace the outline of his ear with the tip of your tongue. (Bonus points if you whisper something naughty to him.)

Source: Ava Cadell, Ph.D.

6. Men initiate open-mouth kissing to transfer ...

… libido-boosting testosterone to their partner. So when he's getting a little more aggressive, it's not just about his desire — he wants you to be a bit more amorous too.

7. Men are more than twice as likely ...

… to sleep with a bad kisser than are women.

9. During the Middle Ages, people signed legal contracts ...

… by making an "X" on the document and then kissing it to pledge their honor. That's how XX became shorthand for a smooch.

It is interesting that we are told the history behind the Xs, and now I wonder what the history is behind the Os. It must be that an O represents the complete circle that is formed when you hug someone. It is fun to hug also, I think, and I think the hugs and the kisses go together, and I guess that is why people write Xs and Os. I wonder how long it took to figure out the joys of kissing. There are so many things about it that I didn't know. It is actually quite scientific. I think there is nothing better than some hugging and kissing with your special one!    :D :D

So the implication here is that a woman might use other meanse to get a guy to sleep with her, but if you are a man and you want to sleep with a woman you had better do a good job of kissing. Actually I got this list off from internet news, I think it was MSNBC, and I think if I remember correctly I deleted one of them because I think it was somewhat offensive in my opinion, and because of my Christain standards I was opposed to it. I think I also suggested that anyone who want to, could search and find the article and read the whole thing. Of course if we take this thought further, maybe skilled kissing on the part of the man could make him irrestible to the woman, and they might have a guaranteed romance, or he might be selected over others for a desired marriage. Who know? Anyway kissing is always good, and it is wonderful for the married couple. I kiss babies, I kiss my grandkids, I kiss my kids, and my wife, and even one adult grandson insists on kissing me on the lips as that was a carry over from when he was a baby and a little guy. So be sure you are a wonderful kisser!    :D :D
