I googled the email address of this scammer, and he/she/it had posted the same letter on dozens of forums. Hope everyone on our forum is intelligent enough to avoid these types, and will ignore any PM's that they get.

I found them sent to various places also with the same form and name on the messages. A lot of them use a form that is almost predictable in what they say and what they want and what they say they are willing to do. We used to get a lot of them in our e-mail, and they usually had someone dying a tragic death, or from cancer. They had inherited large sums of money, like millions, but they needed someone to bank the money for them, dispense of the money according to someone's wishes, then keep a percentage. Our e-mail has since gotten a spam blocking device that keeps us from seeing any e-mails with those kinds of messages, or e-mails with other underhanded promotions. We don't miss them!!!!

Another new scammer is sending out personal messages. This is probably the very same scammer that keeps doing this nonsense. Hopefully, everyone knows not to respond to these private messages from any person who professes their love to a complete stranger.
This time she/he/it is going by the username of jennifer4, and her email address is; jenniferforlove87@yahoo.com

This person has been banned. :x

Red, I know what you mean and how you feel because I have felt the same way, and that is very sad. You maybe remember that very mean person who cause Sir Michael and a lot of the rest of us troubles on this forum. It was very frustrating for Sir Michael as he was causing him all kinds of headaches and actually did damage to this forum, as well as saying terrible things about filipinas. Just like you every time I see a new name it worries me. But now we have a moderator who watches this forum, and he checks out the new posters and doesn't even allow their posts to appear until he looks them over to make sure they are not scammers. So because of that I think this forum and all of us are much safer from those kinds of troubles. I still think this is a very nice place, and the people on here are God fearing and wonderful. People who look at this site are impressed and think the same way. So this is still a friendly wonderful place to be, to post, to respond, and to start new topics. Thanks to you, Red, and to all the people who get on here and keep this place interesting! :D :D :D :D

Sir Edwin is correct about the moderation. No posts from new members are automatically published now as they were for many years.

In the past the posts were published immediately by anyone who wanted to say something, and later, when I read an inappropriate post, I would delete it. But now, all posts from new members must first go through a moderator. If the post is inappropriate, then it is deleted before it is published, so no one sees it except the moderator. Only after a certain number of approved posts are the member's posts published without moderation. But all posts are still subject to moderation after they are published if that post is deemed to be inappropriate.

About 200 new members per month are banned, and no one reads their posts except for a moderator. The majority of those are idiots who are attempting to advertise their products or websites, and are too ignorant to realize that their attempts are blocked before anyone can read them. Some of those go to great lengths to look legit on the forum, and even add avatars, but as soon as any website or product is promoted in any of their posts, they are banned without warning.

The scammer mentioned above was sending out personal messages trying to get men to send her (maybe a him) an email. I have played along with several of these in the past, and inevitably it turns out to be a photo of a black girl from some African country.

I do not mind filipina girls sending a PM to a man who publishes here, and who is seeking to meet someone. But I do mind it if someone starts sending random PM messages to members who have not posted that they wish to meet someone. I will often google that person's name or email address, and often see that they are doing the same thing on many forums. That means they are a scammer, and that is not allowed. That is why I urge any member who receives a PM from someone they do not know, and who feels that it may be suspicious, to tell me about it. Then I can make a determination whether I think it may be an attempted scam, and take action if needed.

I have had messages from a lot of scammers but I don`t think I have ever had one via this forum. Good job by the moderator.

Yes, Smiley, we really appreciate Sir Michael and the moderator for the job they do keep this site safe. It is important to alert them as soon as anyone gets any questionable communication. The faster the alert, the faster it is taken care of, and the safer we all are. Like Sir Michael said it used to be that they were come right on the forum, and then as soon as they were seen they were dealt with, but now they don't come on the forum until they are looked at. So great job, guys! :D :D :D :D

The posts are monitored before being approved...yes....but that does not mean a new member can not send private messages, and that can only be controlled after the fact. When I am alerted to a PM that seems to be a scam, then that member is immediately banned, but it does not erase any of the private messgaes that they sent out before they were banned. Therefore, attempts at a scam still exist, and it takes a little common sense by the members to avoid being taken in.

Sometimes it is hard to distinguish a scam post on the forum. :)
