As Smiley said a scam is a trick. I was scammed when the kids at school made me think they were doing what they were supposed to be doing, when they were doing everything except what they were supposed to be doing. Usually the word scam has to do with some kind of a money loss due to someone tricking you into giving them your money when they don't have it coming, and are giving you nothing in return. People are scammed out of a little money, or they might be scammed out of all the money they have. Often times someone is pretending that they are going to make you rich, so you believe them and give them all your money. Some scammers pretend they love you, so you give them sometimes whatever they ask for, but often those people are pretending to love many people and all those people are giving them what they can, and the scammers are not what they are pretending to be, but just getting what they can by deceit. Often times in this country older Americans get scammed by younger people pretending to do something wonderful for them; they give their money, often all they have, and get nothing in return. They often times lose their houses, bank accounts, and properties. A loney person desperate for love will often get scammed by someone pretending to give them love and taking their money. Often times a Western person will scam a filipina, pretending to be what they are looking for, but when the Western person gets what he/she wants, that person will disappear, leaving the filipina behind with damge done to her. All of us have to realize what can happen and then be on our guard, being as careful as well can, and seek God for guidance. Be sure you are not being scammed before giving what is being asked of you.
